NDTG unveils demolition dos and don’ts book…

New publication aimed at industry newcomers.

dos and don'ts coverThe UK’s National Demolition Training Group has published a new book that is designed to help industry newcomers and inexperienced workers identify potential hazards and adopt good practice.

The 32-page, semi-hardcover book features a simple format of dos and don’ts lists for demolition plant operators and demolition operatives and covers issues including asbestos awareness, working at height, soft stripping, oxy-propane cutting and lifting operations.

The key messages are driven home by a pair of cartoon characters – Basher Bob and Ricky Rightway – with Basher Bob demonstrating bad or unsafe practice and – as his name suggests – Ricky Rightway showing correct procedure.

The new booklet was launched at the National Demolition Training Group’s annual general meeting and is the brainchild of NFDC and NDTG CEO Howard Button.

Paper copies of the book are available FREE in the UK using the NFDC Publication Order Form here. However, the NDTG has also made the new publication available in electronic format below.
