Man convicted of using homeless people to carry out asbestos removal.
A man convicted of eight felonies and two misdemeanors in relation to a demolition project from 2007 was sentenced yesterday. Thomas K. Tienda will serve a four-year community corrections term and pay more than $300,000 in restitution.

Tienda was also suspected of reusing some of the contaminated materials and lying to health inspectors about how he disposed of the materials.
