Theme park demolition throws up some unusual waste.
No-one would be surprised to find some steel in a pile of demolition waste. The presence of a bit of concrete would be expected. And some timber and plastics would be unlikely to turn the head of the average demolition engineer.
But what about a giant rubber shark?
Well, that’s part of the waste pile formed by workers dismantling the Jaws-themed exhibit at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The exhibit – a recreation of the town of Amity featured in the 1975 movie – is currently being removed before being replaced by an as-yet-unnamed feature.
