DDS keeps the dust down on swimming pool demolition.
The demolition of the Gloucester Park Swimming Pool in Basildon, Essex was part of one of the largest regeneration projects in both the Thames Gateway and the UK.
As the site was adjacent to public parkland, a number of dust suppression measures were implemented to ensure dust was minimised at its source including hoses and fine water mists deployed around the working area.
The DDS management monitored all weather conditions, and would stop all structural demolition work should these be deemed excessively detrimental
Over 96% of the projects demolition arisings were recycled.
