Demolition starts on power plant project at centre of bidding wrangle.

Deconstruction of East Austin’s defunct Holly Street Power Plant begins today, according to Industrial Information Resources.

The project was at the centre of a long-running bidding wrangle that saw TRC effectively win the contract twice, first at a value of $24.9 million and then again at a much-reduced $11.5 million.
