In the immediate aftermath of any modern day implosion, there is a mad rush to be the first to post footage of the event on YouTube or one of the countless other video hosting portals.
But what these initial videos gain in speed, they normally lack in quality. And this was the case with yesterday’s implosion of the 17-storey Glencairn Towers in Motherwell. The first footage was online within just over 20 minutes of the blast; but it has taken until now for the higher quality, higher definition footage to become available:
