Demolition companies share £304 million framework agreement.
Leading UK construction news portal The Construction Index is reporting that Magnox has awarded a framework contract worth £304 million for de-planting, demolition and bulk asbestos removal across 10 nuclear reactor sites in the UK.
The specialist cointractros selected are: Doosan Keltbray Consortium, Erith, Squibb/LVI Group, Nuvia, EDS/Kitsons and Celadon (an alliance of Hertel, KDC, NSG, Amec, MWH and Halcrow).
Work at the sites of the UK’s first generation of nuclear power stations will start with the de-planting of the boiler houses at Bradwell in Essex and the demolition of administration and ancillary buildings at Dungeness A in Kent.
