Ottawa awards stadium demolition contract to Delsan-Aim Environmental Services

The City of Ottawa announced Friday it has awarded Delsan-Aim Environmental Services Inc. a $550,000 contract for the mechanical demolition of stands at Lansdowne Park, a sports and entertainment facility beside the Rideau Canal about five kilometers south of Parliament Hill.

City Council approved the demolition of the south-side stands at Lansdowne Park in August of 2011.

The work is scheduled to start November 7, 2011 and conclude by mid-January 2012.
