Six-storey Reading building set for implosion this Saturday.
On Saturday 22 October 22, an implosion will drop a six-storey building in Reading, Massachusetts. Controlled Demolition Incorporated (CDI) has been retained to demolish the building.
In advance of the building demolition, Controlled Demolition Incorporated will be conducting an isolated test blast today. This test blast will be on one building column and is important for the contractor to design his demolition plan.
The Reading Fire Department has worked with the Reading Police Department, Reading Department of Public Works, State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police to identify and address public safety concerns.
