European Attachments crowns its first year with Business Innovation Award.

Almost exactly a year ago, we took a phone call from a guy called Garry Adey who was about to leave his previous employer to launch his own business in the highly competitive attachments market.

If memory serves us correctly, we questioned both his timing and his sanity as the UK demolition market languished in a deep and seemingly endless pit of economic despair. Which just goes to show how much we know about the attachments business.

In 12 short months, Adey has become an almost ever-present figure in UK demolition circles, supporting both the NFDC and the IDE, exhibiting at events while setting in place a distribution network and supplying attachments and dust suppression systems to some of the bigest names in the UK demolition business.

So we’re delighted that it’s paid off for Garry and his team at European Attachments who have just received a Chamber of Commerce award for business innovation.

Garry’s too modest to shout this award from the rooftops and besides, he’s currently laid up following knee surgery. So while he’s in his sick bed – and he assures us that he’s currently reading the History of the NFDC book – we’re more than happy to blow the trumpet for him.
