Interactive website allows users to view 360 degrees of Civic Arena demolition.
It was a long time coming and was the subject of a bitter battle between developers and preservationists. But now that demolition is underway at Pittsburgh’s Civic Arena, a new interactive website allows visitors to take a full 360 degree look around the job site.
To make the interactive panoramic images, a photographer shoots a number of pictures in a short amount of time and then stitches them together. The result is like standing in the middle of what was the pitch and viewing all four corners of the Igloo as the demolition takes place all around.
