Building owner may be responsible because “demolition crew had no safety gear”.
A member of a demolition team in Makati City was crushed to death Tuesday afternoon when a wall of the building being demolished collapsed.
Authorities identified the victim as 29-year-old Julius Cesar Tumbocon. Two other people were reportedly injured in the incident.
Tumbocon’s body was recovered from the rubble after 2 hours.
Reports say the owner of the building may have to take responsibility for the casualties because the demolition team did not have any safety gear.
