10,000 local evacuated for implosion of Chengdu’s tallest structure.
Some 10,000 residents of Chengdu in China’s Sichuan province were temporarily relocated as a huge power plant chimney was imploded earlier this month.
The 210-metre-high chimney at the Jialing Power Plant was toppled out of environmental concerns. It was the city’s tallest chimney.
