The start of the English Premier League is just a week away and, even though it will be poorer for the absence of the mighty West Ham (we’ll be back), we are celebrating with the launch of the new Demolition Fantasy League.
To the uninitiated, the Fantasy League makes you the manager of your own Premiership team with an imaginary £100 million to spend on some of the biggest names in British football.
In the 2010/11 season – through what we maintain was a mix of shrewd buying, tactical genius and a large helping of immense good fortune – IDE president John Woodward emerged victorious, his team narrowly beating the DemolitionNews team into second place. But we’re out for revenge. With West Ham currently regrouping in the Championship for a challenge on the Premiership title in 2012, we’re free to choose players that pass to each other and actually know where the goal is.
