Puerto Rico officials release details of security measures ahead of today’s big bang.
The San Juan Department of Housing has presented the transit plan for the Hato Rey area in the run up to today’s implosion of the four buildings of the Las Gladiolas.
The implosion – which is being carried out by CDI – is scheduled for 10:00 am local time. As part of the plan and for safety reasons, people residing in areas near the implosion will be relocated temporarily in the Department of Recreation and Sport (DRD), where they can view the event from multiple displays or participate in activities including crafts, gym, basketball clinics and domino tournaments. The relocation will begin at 6:00 am.
