Gives a whole new meaning to the term site clean-up.
Demolition and construction sites really are a law unto themselves. Isolated from the outside world, they march to the beat of a drum all their own.
Over the past 20+ years, I have seen some extraordinary sights on sites: I saw a man operating an excavator with a large German Shepherd dog on his lap; I saw a man walk along the gantry of a tower crane hundred of feet above London in a gale, hands in pockets and not a harness in sight; and I once saw a guy walk the best part of half a mile across a quarry, purely so he could pee in the bucket of a parked-up wheel loader.
But even by those ridiculously low standards, this is a first. Our thanks to the guys at Make Mine a Builder’s – the beverage of choice here at Demolition News Towers – for sharing this with us.
